Sad to say
I realized today
a great relationship
has slipped away
Not an overnight severance
or a magical disappearance,
but a gradual decay
much to my dismay
But I'm a reconciler
not one to give up easy
It's my overwhelming desire
to have this charmer back with me
So I'm shaking off depression
fighting the enemy's oppression
determined not to let this good thing end
I'm reconciling with my friend
My friend
in the mirror
